There are shows for all audiences, including young children. In recent years, the programme has become more international, with some shows performed in foreign languages.

Festival inThis is the ‘official’ festival, with a prestigious and eclectic programme. The shows take place at a wide range of venues both inside and outside the city, in the heart of some of the world’s finest heritage sites.

Festival offThis is the festival where you can discover a whole host of artists, some more famous than others. It serves as a springboard for many of them, as talent hunters come to ‘shop around’. The artists in the off-season are doing their self-promotion in the streets, and the atmosphere is incredible!
